Born to Bite by Lynsay Sands

Mass Market Paperback, 374 pages
Published August 31st 2010 by Avon

But with all three of his late wives meeting unfortunate and untimely ends, is this sexy immortal a lover or a murderer? That's what Eshe d'Aureus intends to find out. As an enforcer, it's her job to bring rogue vampires to justice, even if the rogue in question makes her blood race red hot.

Armand knew she was trouble the moment Eshe roared into town on her motorcycle, clad in tight black leather. She claims she's hiding from dangerous fiends, though he suspects something more. But after three wives who've all had trouble remaining, well, undead, Armand is reluctant to open his heart again. Then strange accidents start to happen, each deadlier than the last, and Armand realizes he may not have much time to prove he's a lover, not a slayer.

Another great story by Lynsay Sands. I love the Argeneau series and wish I was apart of their family LOL.

In Born to Bite you finally get to hear Armand's story and everything about his past. Including how all three of his wives died. Armand goes on a mission along with Eshe to try to find out if his wives deaths were really an accident or if they were murdered.

Of course in the beginning, Armand has no idea that Eshe was really sent there to investigate him and find out if he has anything to do with their deaths. He thinks he is doing Lucian a favor by hiding Eshe on his farm. One thing leads to another between the two, and you have an exciting little trip.

What I liked the most about this story was, that Armand had given up on finding love and practically lived alone on his farm and with his workers. He kept his distance from his family feeling like anyone he was around dies. He never spent time with his children or barely even called anyone. So when he meets Eshe and realizes it's another shot at love his whole world changes. Same goes for Eshe, who lost her life mate in a battle. They were both given the chance to love again and be happy.

Though some parts were very predictable, I still very much enjoyed Born to Bite. Of course Lynsay Sands never fails when it comes to the romance parts. Just like the other books in this series, I laughed and fell in love with the Argeneau family all over again. I found Lucian very funny in this book. I love him mated!

Now, the wait for the next Argeneau story. Which is going to kill me.

I give Born to Bite Four Stars!
