He was a dare she’d never been able to resist…

Cat Thomas has never been the kind of girl to stick. A self-professed infatuation junky, she latches on the newest, hottest guy on the block, then finds a reason—real or imagined—to dump him. When she accepts a dare to rekindle her high school flame and jump in bed with her brother’s best friend, Shane Decker, she knows she’s in trouble. She can’t resist the man, even after all these years apart, and that just won’t do.

Shane has come back to town for a couple reasons. The biggest one? He’s tired of living away from those he loves, including Cat. But now she’s spooked and will do anything to drive a wedge between them, including trying to fix him up with other women through an online dating service.

What does he have to do to make her see that settling down doesn’t mean settling, and he’s ready to spend a lifetime proving it?

A perfect mix of humor and romance! I can't remember the last time I smiled or even laughed so much while reading a book. I really enjoyed this story. Now I did not read the first one but you can bet I plan to now.

Right from the beginning of the story you could feel the heat between Cat and Shane. And the heat only got hotter and hotter as the story went on! Cat is a wild child who never wants to settle for anything in life. I love that she is a free spirit! Wanting to enjoy all the life has to offer is not a bad thing and I think in her mind she thinks if she ever settled down she would lose apart of who she is. Cat is also very spunky and the things she says and thinks are just some of the funniest lines I have read in a long time. At one point my husband even asked what I was reading because I was keeping him up at night laughing.

Shane Shane Shane.... He is just a HOT smoldering hunk of man. He has been interested in Cat for a long time but knew he needed to wait until she was ready for him. As her brother's best friend he has always looked out for cat and tried to keep her safe. Shane was always there to help her out of any situation or clean up her mess. He knows she is a head strong woman, and is willing to wait it out.

Feeling like Shane is going to suck her in and being unable to resist him, Cat decides to help him find a girlfriend by having him joining an online dating service. If Shane is off the market she won't be temped to take him herself. What Cat fails to realizes is that Shane wants no one else but her, and will go along with the scam prove to Cat that deep down she wants him too. Best of all is when the moms of both Shane and Cat plot and plan to help these too along!

A great romantic comedy, with just the right balance of sex and humor. Even the sub characters have great roles in helping this book along. The one-liners and innuendos were perfectly placed. The sex was HOT!!!!A recommended read for sure!

5 out of 5 stars
